Forum Makin Skins
Forum Makin Skins

You are probley wondering, "What is a skin?" Ok "What is a forum making skin?"
Well go to my forum, and see how nice and pretty it is, with the background and all that fun stuff. That is a skin.

First thang to do is make a forum, ( I use Invision free).
Now you need to go to IFSZ and work with the skinning Generator.

Skinning Generator

you have Board Margins, I always set my margins to either...
Top: 0 Left: 20 bottom: 0 Right: 20
or
Top: 15 Left: 20 Bottom: 13 Right: 20
Text color is the color of your text. The secreat to this is make it readable.
Text size: I always make mine 10
Background: this is your background you can use a plane color or use a background.
Calandar Data: This should be a color
User Control panel: same color as your calandar
Logo strip: Skip this
Sub Menu: Skip
User Links: Skip
New Post reply: same color as calandar
post 1 and 2: same color as calandar
post link bar: same color as calandar
Row 1-4: same color as calandar
Dark row 1: same color as calandar
Dark row 2: should be a grad (this is a grad)
perfect size for this row is 29x29.
Dark row 3: should be the same grad as DR2 but upside down so it should look like this but the size of this one should be 25x25.
Title medium: Leave blank for now.
Main title: leave blank for now.
quotes: can be whatever you want. Just as long as its a color
Code: same as the quote.
now go down to the CSS code, highlight it, then copy it, now go to your board, then go to "Admin CP" and go down to "Skinning & Styles" click on "Manage style sheets", now delete the CSS code in there and then paste your new one in the empty space.
Now, after you have made your grads which for the MT Grad you need a grad that looks kinda like this, I always dress mine up and make it look very neat so here is a grad you can use it if you want.

Now that you have this, you now need a middle peice because that grad want look right with out a middle piece, so save what you got,
now go to "Skinning & Styles" click on "Board Wrappers" and copy this code below make sure you delete everything in the "Header & body
now paste this code in that spot. All you need to change is bgcolor's and you can add a boarder which all you have to do is the place that says "Background="http://" "

Now copy this code and paste it in the Footer if you add a boarder just add the right side boarder were it says "Background="http://" "

Thats it, just add your markers in the section titled "Images".
